Own Lodestar’s pre-solicitation government business development pipeline across national security and space agencies. Build working-level relationships, shape requirements, pursue non-traditional acquisition pathways, identify and track opportunities, maintain CRM accuracy, represent the company at industry and classified events, and coordinate teaming and proposal inputs. The role requires deep federal acquisition knowledge, technical fluency in space systems, a strong government network, and eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Lead end-to-end federal capture and proposal operations for high-value defense and space opportunities. Develop capture strategies, shape requirements with government stakeholders, manage proposal development and compliance, write and edit technical and executive content, maintain proposal libraries, conduct win/loss analyses, and build a capture team to grow Lodestar's federal business.

Writes and manages technical, management, and past-performance proposal volumes for defense and space solicitations. Analyzes RFP requirements, develops compliance matrices and annotated outlines, translates complex aerospace and autonomous-systems concepts into evaluator-ready content, coordinates inputs across technical and business teams, and manages schedules and submission logistics. The role requires familiarity with FAR, DFARS, multiple acquisition vehicles, and U.S. defense and space customers.

Own the payload engineering model through requirements, design, build, integration, testing, qualification, and documentation. Integrate optical, LiDAR, radar, effector, avionics, and software systems; perform optical alignment, hardware-in-the-loop testing, environmental qualification, and ground demonstrations. Maintain verification matrices, risk registers, design review packages, test reports, and customer-facing qualification documentation while supporting autonomous sensing and pointing capabilities for space systems.

Develop state estimation and prediction algorithms for autonomous spacecraft operations. Build, test, benchmark, and deploy classical and neural models for tracking targets, forecasting trajectories, inferring intent, and assessing threats. Integrate models with mission simulations and autonomy systems while collaborating with perception and onboard autonomy teams to improve robustness and scalability.

Build and maintain Lodestar’s mission simulation environment for autonomous space defense systems. Responsibilities include developing high-fidelity sensor and orbital environment models in Unreal Engine, creating software- and hardware-in-the-loop test benches, designing distributed simulation services, and owning telemetry and regression tooling. The role collaborates with perception, prediction, decision, and mission teams to establish simulation fidelity and validate flight software across reproducible scenarios and CI pipelines.

Develop decision-making algorithms for space autonomy systems, integrating perception and control models to enable real-time intelligent operations in communications-limited environments.
