Teams at Local Initiatives Support Corporation

Supports community development, grantmaking, and stakeholder engagement initiatives across Virginia. Manages partner networks, technical assistance, workshops, grants administration, compliance, reporting, program evaluation, and impact data. Develops partnerships with nonprofits, government agencies, funders, and financial institutions; contributes to grant proposals and funding reports; coordinates with national teams; and represents the organization in coalitions. Requires travel throughout Virginia and periodically beyond the Commonwealth.

Underwrites complex affordable multifamily housing investments from initial screening through Investment Committee approval and closing. Performs financial modeling, credit analysis, cash-flow projections, sensitivity testing, and risk assessment; evaluates sponsors, market conditions, subsidies, financing structures, and third-party diligence. Prepares investment memoranda, term sheets, and recommendations, presents transactions to committees, coordinates closing activities, and supports asset management. Serves as a senior technical resource while managing multiple transactions independently.

Manages community development loan pipelines, credit reviews, approvals, amendments, committee materials, closing coordination, and lending data integrity. Reviews credit memos, analyzes loan and recoverable grant requests, maintains underwriting policies, prepares reports, and supports impact metrics. Provides credit process, underwriting, and lending-system training to internal and local program staff. Requires financial analysis of statements, development budgets, and operating pro formas, plus familiarity with affordable housing subsidies and tax credit programs.
