Lead end-to-end backend software development for an operational decision-support platform, from architecture and event ingestion through production delivery. Design complex data models, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems across cloud and on-premises environments. Translate operational needs into buildable designs, guide AI-assisted development, establish engineering standards, review code, and ensure performance, security, reliability, and maintainability. Mentor engineers and occasionally travel to customer sites, including possible night shifts.

Own the intelligence layer for operational platforms across maritime, logistics, industry, and critical infrastructure. Build ontologies, taxonomies, knowledge graphs, domain models, decision logic, optimization solvers, and applied machine-learning systems. Establish uncertainty, explainability, measurement baselines, and model governance while ensuring production-grade architecture. Collaborate closely with customers, explain models clearly, and deliver reliable recommendations for live operational decisions.

Own data platform architecture and engineering from source-system ingestion through reliable, actionable data products. Design data contracts, schemas, batch and streaming pipelines, orchestration, incremental loads, backfills, and quality monitoring across SQL, NoSQL, cloud, and on-premises environments. Establish data quality baselines, detect staleness and drift, and communicate limitations clearly to customers and decision-makers. Work agentically with AI while maintaining strong technical standards.
