Support and improve Vapor Axial Deposition optical fiber manufacturing by optimizing process parameters, yield, quality, throughput, equipment performance, and cost. Analyze process data, troubleshoot complex issues, lead root-cause investigations, conduct experiments, establish process controls, support equipment and technology development, transfer new products into production, maintain technical documentation, and train manufacturing personnel.

The Engineer/Scientist will lead the development of Hollow Core Fiber manufacturing, optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate on projects.

Leads manufacturing engineering, automation, controls, and process-improvement projects from definition through production handoff. Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, software, network, and process issues; develops PLC, HMI, motion-control, scripting, and data logic; integrates equipment and production systems; modernizes legacy controls; analyzes performance data; creates technical documentation; supports plant operations; and mentors engineers and technicians.
