Lead nursing operations for a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital, overseeing staffing, budgeting, quality and compliance, patient safety, documentation, hiring, training, interdisciplinary care planning, and staff development to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Provides after-hours supervisory nursing leadership for Med-Surg, overseeing staffing, bed placement, discharge coordination, OR scheduling, on-call activations, regulatory compliance (EMTALA, organ donation), documentation, and escalation to the Administrator on-call.

Builds referral relationships, coordinates intake and pre-admission screening, assesses patient appropriateness for inpatient rehabilitation, explains facility options and participation expectations, verifies resources and benefits, and serves as the initial contact for external case managers, discharge planners, payors, and hospital facilities.
