Leads a team of catalogers and technicians supporting a large-scale inventory and cataloging project. Creates, corrects, and enhances bibliographic records for diverse materials using established cataloging standards. Reviews work for quality, resolves record issues, maintains bibliographic and holdings data in an ILS, coordinates workloads, monitors production, trains staff, collaborates with management and clients, and supports project documentation and process improvements.

Catalog and enhance metadata for military and engineering history collections across print, archival, audiovisual, rare, and digital materials. Perform original and copy cataloging, metadata quality control, digitization support, collection development, and record maintenance using professional standards and library systems. Collaborate with archivists, historians, digitization staff, and government personnel while handling fragile materials and complying with federal workflows, privacy, security, and preservation requirements. The role is primarily remote with possible travel to Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and Missouri.

Creates, reviews, validates, and corrects metadata for Federal Government documents, systems, websites, and digital files. Conducts source research, assesses physical documents, reviews digital images, performs data entry and deduplication, and ensures compliance with metadata and Government standards. Develops quality control and performance plans, produces reports, documents procedures, and recommends operational improvements. This is a full-time hybrid role requiring three days onsite in Washington, D.C., with occasional lifting and extended computer-based work.
