Provides pre-admission testing, preoperative preparation, and post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients. Conducts assessments, obtains medical histories, performs ordered tests, verifies consents and identification, initiates IVs, monitors vital signs and sedation, administers medications, manages transfusions, addresses emergencies, documents findings, educates patients and families, and determines readiness for transfer.

Provide and supervise pharmaceutical services in a hospital: verify and interpret orders, monitor drug therapy for interactions and appropriateness, counsel patients and providers, attend clinical rounds, supervise technicians, maintain pharmacy records and labeling, and participate in required training.

The RN Preop PACU PAT is responsible for pre-operative patient management, vital checks, medication administration, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
