Designs data, voice, structured cabling, electronic security, and audiovisual low-voltage systems from concept through construction documents. Collaborates with clients, architects, and engineers; prepares technical specifications, calculations, estimates, schedules, budgets, and proposals; performs QA/QC reviews; and supports project-site activities. The role also requires knowledge of BICSI, TIA, and UFC standards, software proficiency, client communication, and mentoring capabilities.

Designs structured cabling, data, voice, electronic security, and audio-visual systems from conceptual planning through construction documents. Collaborates with clients and multidisciplinary project teams, performs QA/QC reviews, prepares calculations, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, proposals, labor estimates, and design budgets. Supports low-voltage project execution, site activities, and client meetings while applying applicable telecommunications codes and standards. Assists with project scope and fee development and mentors team members.

Gains practical experience supporting architecture, engineering, planning, and landscape architecture projects. Responsibilities include preparing reports and presentations, drafting technical documents, analyzing data, creating drawings and maps, conducting research and site assessments, maintaining project documentation, and collaborating on design recommendations. The intern develops technical, analytical, communication, and professional skills while contributing to projects involving communities and infrastructure.
