Supports a student one-on-one in a school resource room, particularly students with disabilities. Responsibilities include promoting student safety and engagement, assisting teachers, prioritizing assigned tasks, building relationships with students and families, supporting learning activities, responding to emergent situations, and incorporating feedback from school leaders and professional development.

Support students, particularly those with special education needs, through one-on-one and small-group assistance. Specialized Assistants help maintain student safety, reinforce classroom engagement, follow teacher and school leader direction, build relationships with students and families, and respond to physical and behavioral needs. The role supports the EI program and may involve transfers or interventions, lifting up to 50 pounds, and communication with staff using computers, radios, and documentation tools.
