Supports students, particularly those with autism and other disabilities, in a school resource room. Assists teachers during lessons, provides one-on-one and small-group support, ensures student safety, builds relationships with students and families, follows assigned priorities, and responds to feedback and professional development. The role may involve physical assistance, transfers, lifting, and managing emergent situations.

Responsibilities may include reviewing IEPs, supporting RTI settings, assisting with physical transfers or interventions, and communicating with staff and parents.

Supports a safe, inclusive school environment by implementing behavior systems, managing suspensions, developing student intervention plans, advising families, coordinating student programs, and communicating with teachers and administrators. The role also analyzes behavior, attendance, and academic data; stays current on relevant education policies and research; and supports student character, discipline, engagement, and achievement initiatives.
