Operate and maintain all mechanical and non-mechanical systems aboard a passenger ferry. Lead preventative maintenance, repairs, safety drills, inspections, regulatory compliance, parts procurement, inventory, and environmental procedures. Supervise junior engineers and maintenance staff, maintain operational records, manage fuel, water, and shore power activities, and report deficiencies to the Captain. The role requires strict adherence to USCG regulations, safety standards, and vessel maintenance plans.

Seasonal Alaska expedition cruise roles for USCG-licensed Zodiac Captains, Lecturers, and Naturalists from May through September 2027. Responsibilities include safely operating Zodiacs and small boats, interpreting regional wildlife and environmental information, engaging guests, and supporting expedition operations. Candidates need relevant maritime credentials, small-boat experience, public-speaking skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment.

Monitors vessel, river conditions, and passengers during ferry operations; assists with boarding, ticketing, toll collection, mooring, lookout duties, safety drills, fueling, maintenance, cleaning, and regulatory compliance. Provides customer service, maintains passenger and financial records, handles cash deposits, and supports the Captain in keeping the vessel safe and inspection-ready.
