Teams at Lambda Legal

Supports federal and state public policy advocacy by tracking legislation, researching regulations, preparing advocacy materials, managing policy data and reports, and coordinating communications with government offices and coalition partners. Provides administrative support to the Deputy Legal Director, including calendaring, travel, budgets, and meeting materials. Also assists attorneys with legal research, pleadings, briefs, cite-checking, court filings, case files, and compliance with court rules.

Senior Attorney or Counsel will lead impact litigation, develop legal strategies, conduct trial and appellate work, draft legislative and administrative proposals, provide testimony, engage coalition partners, educate the public, and collaborate across departments to advance LGBTQ+ and HIV-related civil rights. The role requires independent legal judgment, client counseling, advocacy, outreach, and policy expertise, with potential administrative supervision for Counsel-level hires.

The Paralegal supports attorneys with legal research, drafting and filing pleadings, advocacy materials, and correspondence. Responsibilities include legislative and regulatory monitoring, case discovery, file and database management, court-rule compliance, client communication, coalition coordination, meeting support, presentations, and general legal administration. The role supports impact litigation, policy advocacy, education, and coalition-building on LGBTQ+ and HIV civil rights issues.
