Handles inbound and outbound customer communications, provides product, pricing, and availability information, processes orders, maintains customer records, resolves or escalates issues, and follows up to ensure satisfaction. Manages inbound ocean freight from origin through final delivery, including container scheduling, tracking, customs releases, regulatory compliance, carrier relationships, risk mitigation, reporting, and invoice approval. Oversees RFPs, carrier contract reviews, rate negotiations, shipment problem resolution, and coordination with purchasing, distribution centers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international offices. Ensures accurate import documentation, HTS compliance, and timely delivery.
