Schedules more than 100 newsroom and content department employees, maintains shifts and assignments, supports staffing and scheduling projects, administers SnapSchedule 365, audits timesheets, manages contracts, coordinates training eligibility, and advises on labor rules, overtime, and scheduling costs. The role also provides meeting, reporting, system support, and backup scheduling coverage for broadcast operations.

Manage publishing, packaging, optimization, and performance reporting for KQED video content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and owned platforms. Create platform-specific copy, thumbnails, metadata, and promotional assets; monitor analytics; moderate audience engagement; conduct content tests; and provide data-informed recommendations. The role collaborates with audience, brand, content, and digital video teams to improve reach, engagement, and discoverability.

Edit KQED television programs and related broadcast and digital content using Avid and Adobe tools. Responsibilities include ingesting and organizing media, editing footage and audio, creating graphics and motion graphics, color correction, audio leveling, final exports, deliverables, archiving, and broadcast delivery. The editor collaborates with production, studio, and editorial teams, troubleshoots workflow issues, reviews screeners, and works independently to complete polished programming and promotional materials.
