Manage the Bob McManus historical collection for the Federal Transit Administration, including inventory, appraisal, preservation, digitization, cataloging, metadata creation, research assistance, and public access. The archivist will digitize and organize documents, photographs, maps, artifacts, and digital files; store materials in FTA and DOT systems; support presentations and web content; and author articles about FTA history. This is a fully onsite Washington, DC role with no travel or telework.

Manage the Bob McManus historical collection for the Federal Transit Administration, including inventory, appraisal, preservation, digitization, cataloging, metadata creation, records storage, research, and public access. Develop web content, displays, presentations, and articles about FTA history; maintain historical information on FTA websites; and assist employees, stakeholders, and the public with archival research and information retrieval.

Support the Federal Transit Administration’s historical collection through inventory, appraisal, preservation, digitization, cataloging, metadata creation, research, and public access. The Archivist will manage physical and digital materials, store content in FTA and DOT systems, assist users with historical research, develop web content and presentations, and author articles about FTA history. The role is fully onsite in Washington, DC, requires 5–10 years of relevant archivist or records-management experience, and involves no travel.
