The Staff Accountant manages daily accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, grant accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, audit support, and budget-to-actual reporting. The role reviews transactions, supports finance leadership and program managers, responds to auditors, and trains accounting staff. Candidates need at least five years of accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, Excel and accounting software proficiency, strong organization, and the ability to pass background and drug testing requirements.

Lead the Tribe's federal, state, and private grants portfolio; implement and enforce the Master Grants Policy; supervise embedded grant writers; manage submissions, budgets, reporting, and federal portal registrations; coordinate with compliance, finance, and program teams; represent the Tribe to federal partners and support governmental affairs (~20%).
