The Senior Software Developer - Backend will design, develop, and maintain backend services for Kepler's satellite network, ensuring performance, security, and scalability. Responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with teams, and mentoring junior developers.

Serve as a cross-project senior technical authority for Kepler's satellite missions. Review and validate system architectures, lead technical assessments for lifecycle milestones, identify systemic risks, mentor systems engineers, support mission definition and proposals, and advise leadership on technical readiness and risk. Provide independent oversight, anomaly support, and clear guidance to ensure consistent, rigorous satellite systems engineering across programs.

This role involves leading the mechanical engineering function, developing teams, defining standards for design and analysis, and ensuring alignment across engineering disciplines to support space hardware development.
