Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript and Node.js, learn event-driven systems and AWS cloud platforms, work with databases and APIs, and contribute to customer-facing features. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers; participate in code reviews, planning, and team discussions; and develop clean, reliable software with team support.

Manages engineering teams of up to 10 people, guiding technical and product vision, talent development, performance, delivery, and operational excellence. Partners with clients, product managers, and client success teams to deliver platform solutions and drive technical roadmaps. Requires engineering management experience, strong communication, Agile and lean development knowledge, and familiarity with modern technologies including Kafka. The role involves 4–6 business trips annually and hybrid office work three days per week.

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for Kaluza’s energy retail platform. Responsibilities include developing event-driven systems, optimizing SQL and NoSQL databases, using AWS and serverless architectures, monitoring production services, and collaborating with product and engineering teams. The role also involves mentoring colleagues, promoting engineering best practices, and owning services from architecture through continuous improvement.
