The Director of FP&A will build and lead the financial planning function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, performance reporting, and operating metrics. The role partners with executives and functional leaders, supports fundraising and investor communications, improves financial systems and reporting processes, and develops a high-performing FP&A team. The position is onsite in Alameda, California, with travel up to 5%.

Leads enterprise tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and monetization of federal and state incentives, including clean energy, advanced nuclear, and R&D credits. Advises executives on transactions, investments, expansion, and tax risk while overseeing income, partnership, sales and use, property, and operational taxes. Builds scalable processes, controls, technology, and a tax team supporting SOX and IPO readiness. Manages advisors, audits, filings, and cross-functional tax initiatives.

Develops and maintains technical requirements, system architectures, interfaces, verification strategies, and traceability for advanced nuclear energy systems. Coordinates multidisciplinary technical reviews, system integration, change-impact assessments, and technical risk management. Collaborates with engineering, licensing, quality, operations, suppliers, and external partners while mentoring engineers and improving systems engineering processes. Periodic work may occur in laboratory, manufacturing, testing, or industrial environments, with travel up to 10%.
