Prepares semi-complex mechanical and electronic designs, including PCB layouts, schematics, CAD models, system drawings, and technical documentation. Performs parts research, reverse engineering, engineering calculations, and design updates while following drafting standards and configuration controls. Supports work packages, bills of material, installation records, and department standards, collaborating with engineers, technicians, facilities personnel, and project teams. May provide direction to junior staff and must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Develops and sustains software and systems for modeling and simulation environments supporting military test and evaluation programs. Responsibilities include requirements interpretation, system and software design, coding, documentation, design reviews, unit/integration/system testing, customer interaction, and system maintenance. The role may integrate networks, hardware-in-the-loop facilities, aircraft and weapons models, databases, cockpit controls, sensors, and electronic warfare systems. A bachelor’s degree, U.S. citizenship, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.

Provides senior-level CAD and CAE support for complex electromechanical, mechanical, electrical, infrastructure, and facility design projects. Creates and maintains technical drawings, floor plans, equipment layouts, system diagrams, bills of material, and as-built documentation. Performs FEA, motion analysis, simulations, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and design reviews. Coordinates major projects, ensures drawing and configuration accuracy, and mentors lower-level designers and drafting staff.
