The Detention Specialist monitors safety within the detention facility, controls inmate movements, resolves conflicts, inspects for hazards, and documents activity. They ensure adherence to policies, monitor alarms, and perform administrative tasks including processing mail and tracking inventory.

Manage and evaluate land use and development proposals, prepare staff reports, present recommendations at public hearings, provide zoning and planning guidance to the public and agencies, coordinate public meetings, negotiate stakeholder concerns, and maintain case files using mapping and database tools.

Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys: draft and edit legal documents, schedule hearings and meetings, manage calendars and court files, process mail, scan and maintain physical and electronic records, track case communications and deadlines, and assist with data collection and statutory obligations.

Research and administer federal, state, local, private, and nonprofit grant opportunities. Assist with grant application preparation, budgets, plans, reports, compliance (2 CFR 200), and financial reporting. Perform administrative tasks, compile data for projects, represent the department at meetings, serve as liaison to community and agencies, and support the Wildland Fire Management Program.

The Head Start Site Aide provides classroom, kitchen, and operational support at Jefferson County Head Start sites, ensuring safe learning environments and smooth daily operations.

The HR Business Partner Senior will lead compensation and classification initiatives, conduct market studies, and provide recommendations to support organizational strategies in Jefferson County.
