Assess and validate Department of Defense cybersecurity RMF packages, develop cyber risk assessment reports, review commercial internet and satellite communication requests, verify approved products, and analyze system scans and STIG results. The role provides recommendations and subject matter expertise supporting cybersecurity assessments, authorization, vulnerability management, and policy compliance for U.S. Space Force systems.

Provides hands-on defensive cyber operations expertise for U.S. Space Force missions, including intrusion detection, threat analysis, incident response, countermeasure development, cyber range operations, and DCO capability optimization. Advises cyber crews, develops TTPs and training materials, supports incident response teams, analyzes mission-system activity, and recommends mitigation and remediation courses of action. The role also delivers operational training and maintains proficiency across SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint, network analysis, SOAR, and related cyber defense tools.

Monitor and analyze cyber incidents in a DoD Security Operations Center, correlate incident details, recommend response actions, and tune cybersecurity tools. The analyst will monitor DCO systems, perform threat hunting, incident response, intrusion detection, continuous monitoring, after-action reporting, and security discrepancy identification. Responsibilities also include developing DCO tactics, techniques, procedures, concepts of operations, and processes, with a focus on Space-based cyber operations.
