Teams at Italian Home for Children

The Therapeutic Mentor supports children and adolescents by teaching skills for managing social, emotional, and developmental challenges, collaborating with treatment teams, and engaging in home and community activities.

Provides in-home behavioral services for children with developmental and behavioral needs, including ADHD, autism, and oppositional defiant disorder. Conducts functional behavioral assessments, develops and adjusts treatment plans, coaches caregivers, documents observations, creates safety plans, and collaborates with schools and care teams. Guides paraprofessionals in implementing interventions and travels frequently to homes, schools, and community settings.

Provide direct supervised care and therapeutic programming for youth in after-school, vacation, and summer programs. Plan and lead activities, assist with homework and life skills, implement behavioral interventions, maintain records and incident reports, ensure safety, and transport clients using program vehicles. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and maintain program spaces.
