Teams at ispace

Interns work on real projects at ispace across engineering, mission operations, production/AIT, IT, legal, finance, and business teams. The program emphasizes specialized technical contributions, collaboration with experienced professionals, and career development. Internships may be part-time or full-time, with a preference for commitments of six months or longer. Roles are based onsite at the Tokyo office, and English or Japanese proficiency is mandatory. Visa and relocation support are available as needed.

Leads the U.S. supply chain organization, including procurement, supplier management, subcontracting, logistics, and receiving. Establishes processes, develops teams, manages flight-quality hardware sourcing, mitigates supply risks, and ensures compliance with FAR, DFARS, NASA requirements, ITAR, and EAR. Partners with engineering, production, quality, legal, and program management to align materials, suppliers, costs, and schedules for spaceflight programs.

Lead mechanical design and development of lunar rover structures, mechanisms, lander interfaces, and ground support equipment from concept through flight. Create CAD models, manufacturing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation; perform trade studies, prototyping, tolerance analysis, and design reviews. Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, resolve manufacturing issues, support inspections and assembly integration, and manage technical risks for flight-ready space hardware.
