Teams at IonQ

Lead experimental quantum computing research focused on coherent control, calibration, benchmarking, and reliability of trapped-ion systems. Design and execute experiments, develop control schemes, integrate scaling technologies such as on-chip electronics and photonics, and optimize qubit performance. Provide technical direction, mentor junior scientists, collaborate across teams, and represent IonQ through publications, conferences, and external partnerships.

Develop post-quantum cryptography software for HSM and network-appliance products. Implement reference, optimized, constant-time, and bit-accurate models of ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, and LMS in C, C++, Rust, and Python. Build NIST ACVP test-vector tooling, support hardware and firmware teams, contribute to hardware-friendly algorithm decomposition, debug cryptographic implementations, and assist with third-party library evaluation and certification-oriented development.

Develop and scale selected reseller, distributor, systems integrator, telecommunications, hyperscaler, and consulting partnerships across the Americas. Lead partner strategy, co-selling, customer qualification, solution development, negotiations, pipeline forecasting, and commercialization of IonQ’s quantum portfolio. Build lighthouse engagements into referenceable wins, repeatable sales motions, and scalable channels while coordinating regional sales, global alliance, engineering, marketing, and program teams.
