Mechanical Engineering Intern supporting aerospace reentry vehicle hardware from concept through testing and integration. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, engineering drawings, bills of materials, structural and thermal analysis, test planning, hardware assembly, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with manufacturing and integration teams. The role is hands-on and requires in-office presence in Playa Vista, California.

Supports manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing of hypersonic reentry vehicle subsystems. Responsibilities include developing work instructions, improving processes, reviewing designs for manufacturability, troubleshooting hardware, analyzing manufacturing data, and designing CAD-based tooling, fixtures, and ground support equipment. The intern collaborates with engineers and technicians to transition aerospace designs into reliable, repeatable production processes while meeting quality and schedule requirements.

Support verification, validation, integration, testing, and performance characterization of flight and ground RF and telemetry systems for reentry vehicles. Responsibilities include RF measurements, antenna and GPS integration, ground station compatibility testing, SDR evaluation, test data analysis, report generation, and test automation using Python or MATLAB. The role is hands-on and lab-focused within an aerospace avionics team.
