Teams at International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD)

Support research and advocacy for a just, Paris-aligned transition away from fossil fuels. Produce policy briefs, blogs, visualizations; engage partners; support countries on climate and development goals; liaise with stakeholders and present findings to diverse audiences.

Paid-unpaid internship (allowance only) for students at Swiss universities to support IISD Geneva teams. Tasks include research and editing, communications, event support, project monitoring and evaluation, and administrative/project assistance under staff supervision. Minimum 3 months, part-time during term, office presence in Geneva required; cover letter and CV in English required.

Lead applied research and policy analysis on trade and sustainable development, focusing on trade-related climate measures. Produce reports, organize events, support fundraising and donor reporting, maintain stakeholder networks (including WTO missions), manage consultants and working groups, develop communications materials, and represent projects at forums. Ensure monitoring and evaluation data collection and keep abreast of emerging issues.
