Conduct research on EU and International Maritime Organization policies for maritime-sector decarbonization. Analyze shipping energy use, emissions, and policy alternatives; develop recommendations to reduce emissions and air pollution; write publications; present findings; support briefings and workshops; collaborate with governments, NGOs, colleagues, and consultants; and review project work.

Manages the post-award lifecycle for grants administered through ICCT’s European office, including award setup, reporting, budgeting, compliance, regranting, subcontracting, funder engagement, and closeout. Maintains audit-ready records in Salesforce and other systems, monitors risks and expenditures, coordinates with finance, legal, and international program teams, supports regulatory compliance, and develops grants-management training and process improvements. The role is based in Berlin and collaborates across global offices and time zones.

Owns the organization’s security platforms and daily security operations across global offices. Responsibilities include administering EDR, SIEM, IAM, MDM, VPN, firewall, email, and cloud security tools; monitoring threats; responding to incidents; conducting risk assessments and audits; managing access controls; supporting GDPR and LGPD compliance; coordinating security awareness training; reviewing vendors; maintaining policies; and communicating risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
