Develops, integrates, aligns, and tests laser and optical systems for defense applications. Provides technical documentation, analysis, reports, supplier guidance, production transition support, cost and risk management, and proposal input. Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, customers, and vendors while supporting technical roadmaps and hands-on integration of complex subsystems. Requires occasional domestic and international travel.

Leads electrical engineering for advanced laser systems, including PCB/CCA development, digital and analog hardware design, FPGA architecture and VHDL development, circuit analysis, component selection, testing, troubleshooting, and production transition. The role supports system architecture, certification testing, failure investigation, design improvements, technical presentations, and cross-functional collaboration. It requires extensive defense electronics experience, U.S. citizenship, security-clearance eligibility, and onsite work in Orlando with occasional travel.

Designs and develops electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical laser rangefinder and target designator systems for military applications. Responsibilities include concept-to-detail design, SolidWorks modeling, engineering documentation, GD&T, structural and preliminary finite element analysis, thermal and vibration analysis, prototype-to-production transition, manufacturing support, change orders, testing, and technical leadership. The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, customers, and suppliers, and requires 10–20% travel.
