Operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture, modify, assemble, inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical components. Read engineering drawings, meet specified tolerances, perform fitting and adjustment work, conduct equipment checks, and maintain safety and quality standards. The role requires independent and collaborative work in an operational workshop, with large-scale manual machining experience essential and CNC experience advantageous.

The role involves overseeing machine shop operations, leading the team, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety. Responsibilities include guiding team members, managing workloads, and monitoring machinery performance.

Produce, assemble, maintain and repair mechanical components using conventional and CNC machine tools. Interpret drawings, perform machining, fitting, fault‑finding, preventative and breakdown maintenance, fabrication, inspection to tolerance, and maintain safe productive work practices.
