Inherited Property Match
Free nationwide broker matching for heirs, executors, and trustees selling inherited property.
Inherited Property Match is a free, nationwide broker-matching service that helps heirs, executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and personal representatives sell inherited real estate with the right broker for their property and estate situation.
Families inherit property after a parent dies, a spouse passes, or a trust distributes assets. Many are navigating probate, trust administration, multiple heirs, an out-of-state property, deferred maintenance, tenants, mortgages, reverse mortgages, liens, title issues, capital gains, step-up in basis, or date-of-death appraisal requirements. Choosing a general real estate agent can create risk when the sale involves legal authority, court timelines, family coordination, tax timing, or estate-specific documentation.
IPM was built for that gap. We evaluate each situation based on property type, location, condition, ownership structure, family dynamics, timing, and estate complexity, then match the owner with a pre-vetted broker experienced in inherited property sales. The service is free for property owners, heirs, executors, and trustees.
Inherited Property Match operates under Real Estate Foundation, Inc. and is based in Denver, Colorado. The company was co-founded by Rhett Fruitman and Alan Fruitman. Rhett previously worked at CBRE and Citi Private Bank, with experience in institutional real estate, wealth transfer, and complex financial situations. Alan has worked in commercial real estate since 1993, specializes in 1031 exchanges and net lease properties, and is the author of The NNN Triple Net Property Book.
IPM covers single-family homes, condos, townhomes, vacation homes, second homes, inherited land, farms, apartment buildings, commercial buildings, NNN properties, self-storage, mobile home parks, hospitality, medical office, industrial properties, and other investment real estate nationwide.
Beyond broker matching, IPM publishes resources for families deciding whether to sell, keep, or rent inherited property, including guides on probate sales, trust property sales, capital gains and step-up in basis, sibling disagreements, out-of-state inherited property, estate settlement timelines, date-of-death appraisals, and working with estate attorneys and CPAs.
IPM launched in 2026 with a content-first approach to one of the most underserved areas of real estate: helping families make informed decisions when inherited property needs to be sold.
