Performs professional fee and facility medical coding using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers. Resolves coding edits, payer rejections, denials, and documentation issues; monitors regulatory changes; analyzes denial trends; supports compliance and process improvements. Requires orthopedic and workers’ compensation coding experience, active coding credentials, EMR/EHR proficiency, and experience in high-volume physician practices.

Processes the full healthcare revenue cycle, including eligibility verification, demographic accuracy, claim submission, edit resolution, accounts receivable follow-up, denial management, appeals, underpayment recovery, and payer communication. The role works directly in client EHR and billing systems, analyzes rejection trends, resolves root causes, documents account activity, and maintains compliance with HIPAA, CMS, payer, and billing regulations.

Processes insurance billing and collections from claim submission through payment resolution. Reviews, verifies, submits, and resubmits claims; follows up with insurers; handles Medicaid and Medicare claims; responds to patient billing inquiries; collects balances; enters insurance information; and maintains billing documentation for audits.
