Leads daily organ recovery operations, overseeing donor evaluation, organ allocation, recovery, packaging, staffing, training, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, supplies, budgeting, and call responsibilities. Supervises staff performance, maintains clinical competencies, supports strategic planning, and ensures adherence to CMS, UNOS, AOPO, FDA, AATB, and organizational standards.

Coordinates psychoeducational grief and bereavement support for organ and tissue donor families and community members. Develops and leads workshops, support groups, and educational programming; builds referral partnerships with hospitals, churches, schools, funeral homes, and community organizations; maintains grief resources; supports donor family and recipient meetings; contributes educational content; and serves as an aftercare subject matter expert. Requires evening and weekend availability, autonomy, cultural sensitivity, and regional travel.

Supervises procurement services and donation technician operations, including organ recovery, perfusion, operating-room navigation, staffing, scheduling, documentation, audits, and quality assurance. Provides clinical and logistical expertise, mentors and trains staff, supports organizational education, coordinates follow-up donor records, and serves as an on-call staffing supervisor. The role requires clinical shifts, schedule flexibility, travel throughout the donor services area, and occasional weekends, holidays, and overnight work.
