Lead and build Inertia’s trade compliance and export control function, initially focusing on EAR, ITAR, CUI, 10 CFR Part 810, and DOE/NNSA requirements. Advise technical and business teams on classifications, licensing, deemed exports, controlled information, government agreements, and technology transfers. Develop scalable compliance processes, conduct risk assessments and investigations, provide training, monitor regulatory changes, and partner across engineering, supply chain, security, IT, talent, and leadership.

Lead cross-functional technical projects, managing scope, timelines, and budgets while ensuring accountability and resolving conflicts. Requires strong engineering background.

The VP, Finance will lead and build Inertia’s finance function, owning financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, capital planning, cash flow, treasury, accounting, reporting, controls, audits, and tax oversight. The role partners with executives and cross-functional teams on strategic decisions, hiring, capital expenditures, vendors, and fundraising. This hands-on leader will establish scalable systems, processes, reporting rhythms, and finance technology for a growing fusion-energy company.
