Coordinates CNA classes, staff education, nursing orientation, and annual in-service training while leading the long-term care facility’s infection prevention and control program. Oversees antibiotic stewardship, infection surveillance, communicable disease reporting, risk assessments, care practices, policy updates, and infection control committees. Supports regulatory compliance, QAPI initiatives, employee relations, resident care monitoring, and clinical administration operations.

Leads nursing services for assisted living and independent living residents, overseeing staff, care quality, documentation, staffing, policies, compliance, infection control, emergencies, and individualized care plans. The Director of Nursing supervises, coaches, and evaluates nursing personnel; conducts resident-care rounds; coordinates with other departments; manages ASCEND processes; and promotes resident dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life while maintaining state and federal regulatory compliance.

Coordinate and deliver CNA and nursing education, develop nursing policies and orientation programs, lead infection prevention/control and antibiotic stewardship, conduct surveillance and reporting, lead IPC and QAPI committees, ensure regulatory compliance, maintain certifications, oversee staff training and employee relations, and participate in clinical administration calls.

Lead and manage nursing services for assisted and independent living, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, clinical policy development, care planning oversight, emergency response, infection control, and interdepartmental coordination.

Patrol assigned areas on foot, cart, or vehicle; observe and report suspicious activity; write detailed reports; enforce policies; respond to emergencies; assist with physical security and safety programs; use computers and security camera systems.
