Supervises and coordinates nursing staff to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality patient care. Manages staffing, performance, incident investigation, education, interdisciplinary communication, admissions/throughput and emergency response. Provides direct patient care and triage as needed and supports regulatory, infection control, and continuous improvement activities.

Provides RN case management including assessment, care coordination, discharge planning, utilization review, appeals/denial support, transition-of-care management, patient/family education, documentation, and community resource linkage to reduce readmissions and improve outcomes.

Registered Nurse specialist managing identification, review, and appeals of payer denials using Cerner EMR and InterQual criteria. Coordinates with revenue cycle, physician advisors, and CRM leadership to prepare appeals, obtain authorizations, track denials, report trends, educate staff, and ensure compliance with payer timelines and Medicare policies.
