Supports the design, integration, verification, and lifecycle management of COMSEC systems. Collaborates with hardware and software engineers on secure communications architectures, develops requirements traceability and V&V plans, coordinates testing, assesses security risks, manages COMSEC equipment and keying material, and ensures compliance with DoD, NSA, and government standards.

Leads a hardware-focused engineering program from concept through production, owning technical architecture, requirements, verification, cost, schedule, staffing, risk, customer interfaces, and formal design reviews. Directs multidisciplinary systems, electrical, firmware, mechanical, and test teams while ensuring compliance with defense hardware qualification standards, configuration controls, quality systems, and customer requirements.

Performs systems engineering activities including technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk studies, supportability and effectiveness analyses, requirements identification, performance metric tracking, and systems engineering process management. The role requires an active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and substantial experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, with Cameo and simulation model integration preferred.
