Coordinate nursing policy and project review to ensure alignment with hospital goals and regulatory standards. Research best practices, draft and edit policies, create clinical forms with compliance, collaborate with managers and educators, document processes, and report findings to administration and education departments.

Provide nutrition assessment and education, perform nutrition-focused physical exams, develop and implement evidence-based nutrition interventions, manage tube and parenteral nutrition, approve diets/menus, document in the EMR, and represent Nutritional Services in meetings.

Provides administrative and liaison support for behavioral health crisis patients in the Emergency Department: managing confidential records, classifying encounters in the electronic medical record, coordinating involuntary detentions and legal documentation, communicating with clinical staff, psychiatric facilities, and public officials, and ensuring continuity of care and compliance with Idaho statutes.

Oversee daily operations of the Medical-Surgical unit, including staffing, budgets, quality improvement, policy implementation, education, interdepartmental coordination, and performance monitoring to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Provides clinical education and evaluation for MedSurg nursing staff. Plans and conducts orientation, skills labs, annual competencies, and bedside teaching. Assesses educational needs, maintains licensure/certification records, collaborates with leadership, and delivers direct patient care as needed to ensure evidence-based practice and staff competency.

Performs high-quality cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures using independent judgment and following department policies. Provides patient care in hospital/cardiology settings, documents studies, and collaborates with clinical team. May supervise or train new graduates during supervised experience.

Provide medical nutrition therapy and counseling to outpatient and self-referred patients, deliver individual and group education, document in the EMR, promote outpatient services, build community provider relationships, participate in department meetings and professional development, and support departmental quality and outreach activities.

Assist clinical and outpatient dietitians by screening inpatients and provider referrals using the EMR, scheduling outpatient referrals, managing dietitian calendars, supporting projects, maintaining patient education materials, completing required trainings, participating in department meetings and quality improvement, and performing other duties as assigned.

Performs diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures independently, assists radiologists with invasive procedures, documents and assesses sonogram quality, covers emergent inpatient and ED patients, troubleshoots equipment issues, and maintains patient confidentiality and age-specific competency.
