Teams at Icarus

Build and lead the company’s HR function from the ground up, owning HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, compensation, performance, policies, onboarding, and offboarding. Partner with leadership on ITAR, export controls, security clearances, and government contract requirements. Support hourly manufacturing and field teams alongside salaried employees, and scale People operations from approximately 50 to 200+ employees while maintaining company culture.

Owns Icarus's government revenue pipeline from opportunity identification through proposals, awards, contracting, and follow-on work. Responsibilities include monitoring solicitations, managing capture and submission processes, coordinating technical and pricing inputs, engaging government and defense stakeholders, supporting conferences and events, maintaining business-development collateral, and improving workflows with agentic AI automation. Requires strong writing, organization, customer presence, defense or government-business-development experience, U.S. citizenship, security-clearance eligibility, and approximately 20% travel.

Own logistics operations across freight, customs, crating, manifests, product deliveries, personnel and equipment movements, and fleet readiness. Coordinate with customers, range coordinators, and exercise organizers; manage ITAR/EAR compliance and shipping documentation; oversee inventory accuracy, ERP transactions, staging areas, and shipping operations. The role also maintains company vehicles and supports early-morning test campaigns, demonstrations, and customer deliveries.
