Designs and executes high-voltage and power equipment tests in-house and at external laboratories. Responsibilities include test planning, troubleshooting, reporting, database maintenance, standards compliance, equipment calibration coordination, and improving testing infrastructure. The role also manages testing projects, supports equipment design and installation, and maintains safety and environmental compliance. Requires electrical engineering education, experience testing MV/HV switchgear and power equipment up to 38 kV or higher, laboratory instrumentation expertise, technical writing ability, and willingness to travel occasionally.

Lead primary design and engineering for high-voltage GIS switchgear. Interpret customer specifications, prepare and review electrical drawings, resolve technical queries, ensure IEC compliance, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Mentor engineers and oversee design activities, troubleshooting, documentation, and adherence to industry standards.

Designs schematics and manufacturing documentation for control and protection panels, local control cubicles, and substation automation systems used with high-voltage GIS switchgear. Develops interlocking logic, applies IEC and IEEE standards, coordinates with clients and site teams, and reviews panel equipment and operating mechanisms. Requires expertise in protection relays, BCUs, SCADA, AutoCAD, and E-Plan, along with electrical engineering qualifications and at least four years of relevant experience.
