Performs ultrasound and vascular studies for patients from neonatal through geriatric ages. Prepares patients and examination materials, obtains quality sonograms, maintains ultrasound equipment and supplies, verifies requisitions and patient records, follows HIPAA and hospital compliance requirements, and assists other departments as needed. Current CPR certification and current ARDMS and vascular registries are required.

Provides technical and direct patient care in the emergency department under nursing supervision. Performs basic patient care procedures, follows physician orders, communicates patient changes to nurses, documents treatments and incidents in medical records, supports emergency care operations, educates patients and families, and complies with HIPAA, safety, and hospital policies.

Performs and monitors waived, moderate, and high-complexity laboratory testing with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include specimen evaluation and processing, equipment calibration and maintenance, troubleshooting, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, process validation, inventory support, critical-result communication, and training students and new employees. The role also participates in inspections, root-cause analyses, corrective actions, and laboratory process improvements.
