Leads the engineering department in developing manufacturable fiber-optic and laser-processing products. Oversees engineers, product commercialization, optical and mechanical design, testing, process development, documentation, cost estimation, and customer technical support. Applies project management, manufacturing engineering, statistical analysis, and precision optical validation to deliver scalable products and resolve performance issues. Requires hands-on fiber-optics expertise, optical test equipment experience, and strong knowledge of photonics manufacturing.

Serves as a strategic HR advisor to senior leadership, supporting workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, change initiatives, compensation and benefits, compliance, recruiting, immigration processes, and HRIS-based organizational structure management. Analyzes HR metrics, supports global workforce initiatives, and mentors HR staff.

Leads large engineering R&D projects developing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems. Provides technical direction, analyzes complex engineering problems, supports manufacturing industrialization, estimates project costs and timelines, investigates materials and engineering practices, addresses regulations, and presents technical work to industry committees. The role requires collaboration across international, manufacturing, quality, customer service, and external stakeholder teams, with occasional mentoring and up to 20% international travel.
