Provides administrative and donor support for the Development Department, including gift processing, database maintenance, acknowledgements, donor communications, reporting, audit documentation, and volunteer coordination. Responds to supporter inquiries, manages development email, supports fundraising and community events, coordinates with Finance and external vendors, and assists senior leadership. Requires strong organization, communication, confidentiality, customer service, database, Microsoft Office, and fundraising gift-processing skills.

Leads strategic and operational HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, workforce planning, HR metrics, process automation, and learning and development. Advises managers, oversees HR policies and legal compliance, supervises the HR team, manages the department budget, and develops training programs. The role is based in Washington, D.C., or New Jersey, with occasional travel between shelter locations.

Supports HRA’s public affairs through media relations, press materials, social media storytelling, community and government engagement, corporate sponsorships, and external events. The role manages partner relationships, coordinates interviews and activations, monitors media and legislative developments, maintains CRM records, and represents HRA with stakeholders. It requires strong communication, organization, project management, and relationship-building skills, along with regular on-site presence in Washington, DC.
