Develop and support embedded software and firmware for automotive hardware products, from prototype through production. Responsibilities include hardware bring-up, peripheral configuration, algorithm development, debugging across hardware and software, code reviews, product planning, and mentoring engineers. The role requires embedded C/C++ development, microcontroller and RTOS experience, embedded Linux knowledge, and hands-on use of electronic instrumentation. This is an on-site position in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Designs and develops embedded architecture, firmware, and software for automotive hardware products from prototype through production. Responsibilities include hardware bring-up, peripheral configuration, debugging across hardware and software, algorithm development, code reviews, product planning, technical research, and mentoring engineers. The role also provides expert support for existing products and may lead software engineering projects.

Design and develop hardware from concept through production, perform schematic entry and PCB layout in Altium, prototype and test circuits, debug and validate electronics, collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and sourcing teams, work with suppliers, manage project schedules, perform peer reviews, and mentor other engineers.

Maintain and enhance VCM Suite vehicle support and features. Reverse-engineer automotive binaries, map calibration parameters, apply automotive programming tools, debug software, collaborate with hardware engineers, and support validation to meet automotive safety standards.

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain native Android and iOS mobile applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize UX, perform security testing and app maintenance, write scalable, maintainable code, assist with customer support escalations, and integrate automotive communications (CAN) and external interfaces.
