Leads product and process engineering for a casting manufacturing operation. Responsibilities include process control, design reviews, customer and supplier technical support, work-instruction development, quality investigations, tooling and fixture design, cost reduction, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement. The role interfaces closely with production teams and translates customer requirements into compliant manufacturing processes while improving safety, reliability, efficiency, and profitability.

Plans and schedules manufacturing workflows, coordinates with customers and plant departments, tracks orders and open items, expedites delayed operations, monitors schedule attainment and on-time delivery, reconciles shipments, and resolves issues affecting production or shipment timelines. The role also manages customer communications, purchase order coverage, order processing, inventory and capacity considerations, and schedule adjustments based on demand and unforeseen conditions.

Investigate metal properties and processing for aerospace forgings made from ferrous, titanium, and nickel alloys. Develop hot-working, cold-working, and heat-treatment processes; troubleshoot nonconforming parts; support quality documentation, customer contract reviews, continuous improvement, cost reduction, furnace surveys, and operator qualification. Collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, and heat-treatment teams while ensuring compliance with aerospace quality requirements and customer specifications.
