Ensure a secure, safe hatchery by overseeing facility access and employee movement, enforcing biosecurity and safety protocols, and preventing unauthorized entry. Monitor and record temperature and humidity, change HVAC filters, maintain welfare standards, lift 40–80 pounds, work in varied environmental conditions and at heights, and be available for weekends and holidays.

Unload railcars and trucks over the pit, monitor ingredient flow and dust levels, maintain a clean and safe work area, and complete daily inventory. The role requires following instructions, wearing PPE, handling objects up to 50 pounds, and performing bending, crawling, and stooping. Weekend work may be required, with training on day shift followed by transfer to night shift. Teamwork, reliable attendance, and awareness of truck and railcar hazards are essential.

Weigh inbound and outbound trucks, record truck and visitor information in computer and written logs, test corn and wheat samples for moisture, test weight, and temperature, and retain samples and records. Greet and direct visitors, maintain inventory copies of logs, submit records to the supervisor, and provide vacation coverage or other assigned support as needed.

Oversee site security operations and supervise three daily security guards plus weekend staff. Schedule and direct guards, monitor entrances and iris/eye-scan access, patrol property, respond to incidents, coordinate with HR and Safety, escort personnel as requested, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

Perform accurate shoulder cuts on a poultry processing line, maintain knife handling, sharpening, and sanitation, follow safety and USDA guidelines, meet production goals, and occasionally train or mentor newer team members in a cold, fast-paced environment.

Perform rapid, repetitive hanging of live chickens by the feet onto a moving shackle line while maintaining line speed and adhering to animal welfare policies. Work is physically demanding: standing entire shift, lifting 5–10 lbs repetitively, bending, climbing, and working in hot, wet, noisy conditions while wearing required PPE and following safety and hygiene practices.

Part-time agriculture internship rotating through live departments (hatchery, broilers, breeders, live haul, feed mill). Assist across operations, travel between facilities, work Monday–Friday, and perform duties in varied environmental conditions around chemicals and live animals. Must be a current agriculture student in an internship-required program.

Monitor plant production to ensure product quality and USDA/food-safety compliance. Perform and record quality checks (grading, packaging, temperature, weights), inspect equipment cleanliness, enforce GMP and PPE, monitor associates and report non-compliance, and maintain a safe work environment while performing physically demanding tasks.

Unload incoming trucks and railcars into designated bins using an auto-receiving system; inspect and sample incoming materials per QA/FSMA requirements; rotate stock FIFO; prevent loss/theft; maintain bin levels and housekeeping; complete required paperwork; be trained to operate forklift and shuttle wagon; work assigned shift and assist as needed.
