The Assistant Director oversees IDD program operations, service quality, regulatory compliance, budgeting, billing, reporting, and staff development. Responsibilities include recruiting and supervising personnel, ensuring person-centered care, managing documentation and investigations, supporting program expansion, representing the agency externally, and leading operations during the Director’s absence. The role requires frequent travel between program locations and off-site events.

Leads Hope Services’ policy agenda, legislative advocacy, external affairs, and executive partnerships with employers and educational institutions. Represents the organization before policymakers, coalitions, funders, and community partners; develops policy positions and advocacy materials; expands inclusive employment and education opportunities; aligns related programs; supervises staff; supports the executive team and board committee; and manages departmental planning, budgets, and reporting.

Provides case management and rehabilitation services to people with mental health needs and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include client assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, medication education, benefits coordination, advocacy, counseling, group services, community resource networking, representative payee duties, and electronic documentation for billing. The role involves extensive local driving and transporting clients, field-based service delivery, and collaboration with healthcare providers, families, law enforcement, and social service agencies.
