Senior employment lawyer opportunity at Special Counsel or Partner level in a Melbourne commercial law firm. The role advises employers, business owners, and senior executives on advisory and contentious workplace matters, including contracts, restructures, investigations, terminations, discrimination, restraints, Fair Work Commission proceedings, and litigation. Responsibilities also include business development, client relationship management, mentoring, and building an established employment practice.

Manage complex commercial litigation matters with significant autonomy, including contractual, shareholder, corporations, insolvency, property, debt recovery, and enforcement disputes. Develop case strategy, conduct negotiations, manage evidence and discovery, prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and work with counsel and experts. Advise clients on litigation risk and commercial resolution while appearing in Victorian and Federal courts and developing client relationships.

Manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial insurance risks, including client relationships, renewals, retention strategies, documentation, and processing. Drive revenue growth through retention and new business development, participate in marketing campaigns, meet financial targets, and engage with senior enterprise stakeholders. The role requires a 360-degree commercial broking approach, strong negotiation and communication skills, and Tier 1 broking credentials.
