HL7 International

Health Level Seven International (HL7) is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited standards-development organization that advances interoperability of healthcare data worldwide. Its standards and frameworks—including FHIR, Version 2 and Clinical Document Architecture—enable health information technology systems to exchange, integrate, share and retrieve electronic health information. HL7 convenes a community of healthcare providers, government stakeholders, payers and vendors to develop and promote adoption of these standards.
