Supports students with special education needs through instructional assistance, supervision, behavioral support, crisis prevention, documentation, and participation in education and safety planning. The role collaborates with teachers and staff to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development, including monitoring during classes, recreation, and field trips. Requires a high school diploma or GED, New York State Teaching Assistant Level I certification within six months, and a valid New York driver’s license.

Leads the Raise the Age Program and Special Services Team in a residential youth setting. Oversees staff, programming, safety protocols, OCFS compliance, documentation, inspections, crisis prevention, searches, and emergency response. Provides Therapeutic Crisis Intervention expertise and training, supervises campus security practices, coordinates with schools and treatment partners, manages conflicts, and leads the campus safety committee. Requires on-call availability and the ability to physically intervene when necessary.

Provides instructional, emotional, and behavioral support to students requiring special education. Assists teachers with lesson preparation, classroom supervision, documentation, and implementation of Individual Education Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans, and safety plans. Monitors students across school activities, manages behavioral crises using TCI techniques, and may provide classroom instruction during teacher absences. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, New York State Teaching Assistant certification within six months, a valid New York driver’s license, and physical ability to assist with restraints and lifting.
