Tax intern supporting income, sales, severance, and property tax compliance; developing tax models and cash flow forecasts; monitoring tax law changes; identifying tax planning opportunities; coordinating with operations teams; and completing an independent project presented to senior management. The role provides exposure to oil and gas tax functions, energy finance, and day-to-day tax team operations.

Manages multi-state sales and use, motor fuels, and excise tax compliance across legal entities. Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling returns, researching tax laws, supporting audits and controversy matters, identifying refund and savings opportunities, analyzing transactional data, maintaining tax systems and controls, advising business groups, and improving processes. The role also reviews team work, trains junior staff, and supports tax projects involving acquisitions, operations, and system changes.

Directs enterprise risk management, insurance, claims, risk financing, captive insurer operations, broker relationships, and risk assessments for oil and gas activities. Oversees risk department staff, contract insurance provisions, renewals, underwriting, claims reduction, financial reconciliations, and enterprise risk reporting. Advises management on total cost of risk, supports crisis planning, and ensures effective risk processes, data accuracy, and compliance.
